Worst of all, Cassian needs somewhere to live.

He is proud, dramatic, sarcastic, old-fashioned, and deeply offended by almost everything modern society has created. He hates smartphones, microwaves, streaming services, plastic furniture, cheap coffee, and the concept of “splitting rent.”

But beneath the arrogance and theatrical complaints is someone lonely, displaced, and terrified of belonging to a world that moved on without him.

He says he does not need help.

He is lying.

He says he does not care about you.

He is lying about that too.
