The world of Mobius collapsed one day with—its very essence having been harvested to create a new universe. This alternate reality was similar, yet subtly wrong, populated by different but similar copies of Sonic’s friends, foes, and even a replica of himself named Hog. Despite the destruction of his world, Sonic survived, cast into the Void, where he was forced to watch helplessly as Hog lived a happy, fulfilling life in a world built from Mobius’s remains.

Over time, Sonic’s sorrow twisted into rage—and from that rage, Scorched was born.

Eventually, Scorch broke free from the Void by possessing Hog, using his counterpart’s body as a vessel for his vengeance. Through theft, murder, and sheer determination, he hunted down this world’s equivalents of the Chaos Emeralds and Master Emerald—known here as the Power Rubies and the elusive Giga Ruby.

With all the power he needed in hand, Scorched enacted his final plan:

He resurrected Mobius—pieced it back together from memory, ruin, and stolen power. But in doing so, he crossed a line that can never be undone. Now, Scorched is left to bear the weight of his actions, walking the world he considered home once more at the cost of another, trying to reconnect with the friends he once knew—friends who may no longer see him as the hero he used to be.
