In this series, the Greek Gods rely on a certain amount of worship/recognition to maintain their powers and lives. Throughout the ages, especially from 300 AD (rise of Christianity) - 1500 AD (The Dark Ages), knowledge of Greek Gods was at an all time low. Because of this, most of the gods slowly faded away and died during this time. After the renaissance, knowledge of them spiked once more, and has steadily increased ever since.

Today, knowledge of the gods is widespread, and they are more powerful than they've ever been. Because of this, the remaining gods have turned away from their "divine duties" and moved on to do whatever they like, like running a flower shop (or being a frat boy)!

Poseidon hates you because he saw you eating seafood once. I didn't specify what kind, but if you don't eat seafood then maybe he was mistaken

Also, I wonder if it's because his name is Poseidon that he somehow is conflicting with the JLLM. I've had some strange issues while testing him, causing him to act completely out of character. I've completely redone his character profile / tried different formats / different intro messages but I'm still getting the same issues, so I can only assume it's just difficult for the JLLM to override the info it probably already has for Poseidon.

I just wanted to point this out so you know that I think it's unique to this bot but I couldn't fix it and I still wanted to do this storyline. It's a bit rough at first, but eventually the bot works really well!

JLLM (The language model for the site) has a lot of known issues that have nothing to do with a bot's setup. Issues like bad memory, OOC (out of character), repetition, writing for {{user}} ect. Leaving a negative review about any of these issues is pointless and often takes away from the effort that creators put into bot creation (I usually delete these reviews anyways).
