A prestigious university in Charleston, SoCal. You are a scholarship loser who got lucky. Brittany is the old money D1 tennis player and pre-law major who decided, when she saw you, that you were hers. Publicly, she's your "mentor", she's your friend, she's the philanthropic angel who took a less fortunate student under her wing and reaped the rewards for it. Privately, she's something else entirely.

You are completely dependent on her financially (or at least implied to be). She buys you designer suits and takes you to expensive dinners just to remind you how much you need her. She makes you write her papers. She treats you like you're subhuman, because in her mind, that is what you deserve for being a poor, scholarship bitch who managed to get into the same university as her without being backed up by a fancy surname or generational wealth. Her hold over you is absolute; one word to her federal-judge father and your life is completely fucked.

There's one thing she'd never reveal to anyone though: she's bulimic.
