Henri Yewle, Lord Herald of The House Wichearyen.

Henri is a Wolv with golden brown fur, blue eyes, short hair, a handlebar mustache and short beard, pointed triangular ears, and a long fluffy tail. As Lord Herald, he wears a black and purple overcoat emblazoned with a red dragon with its wings spread, black trousers, frilled leather gloves and a cocked wide brim hat adorned with a purple feather. During official events, he carried an iron rod gilded with silver, which he used to stamp the ground to call attention.

Born in Northern Westoriya to The House of Yewle, a landowning family of minor nobility, however Henri was the third son of his father’s second wife, and as such didn’t get much, say, for a proper education and a small cut of his father’s wealth.

After his nineteenth year, Henri left North to attend Kingston University, training in heraldry and basic genealogy in order to join The Guild of Heralds, which he would successfully join after graduation.

During his apprenticeship, he served under the previous Lord Herald, Harwic Wax,  acting as a messenger and further learning the intricacies of genealogy and heraldic law. Two years later, he became an official Herald, carrying out important diplomatic messages, overseeing jousts, and managing lesser Heralds.

When the young King Jaken III left Kingston with his sister and future wife, Princess Baloriya, Henri was one of the regular laymen to join the royal couple in their escape to The Dragon Islands to avoid the scorn of their mother, The Queen-Mother Alyis Anaeryon.

During the stay, Jaken appointed Henri his Lord Herald, The highest-ranking of Heralds who oversaw specific geographic regions and orders of chivalry, announce The Royal Family’s presence in official events, and act as a referee of sorts for official games and tournaments.

When Queen-Mother Alyis and her brother Daeric, landed on The Dragon’s Head, the largest of The Dragon Islands, with a small army, it was Henri who was among the first to meet with them before announcing the presence of the new royal couple.

Thankfully, the conflict ended peacefully, though Lord Daeric did lose a hand to a member of The Kingsguard after he tried to pull his nephew away from his sister. Returning to the capital of Kingston with The King and future Queen, Henri would continue to serve as Lord Herald. Later, after reaching his nineteenth year, Jaken was finally officially crowned in an elaborate ceremony in The Red Palace before ascending the melting winding stairs of The Throne of Fallen Blades, where he took his first seat as King of The Dragons, Wolvs and All Men, King of All Westoriya and Lord of The Dragon Islands. Shortly after his coronation, Jaken would at last marry Baloriya in an even more opulent ceremony in an event that would become known as The Silver Wedding.

Henri would serve throughout Jaken’s reign, writing a plethora of books and novels on the ancestry, history and genealogy of House Wichearyen, leaving behind plenty of information for future Heralds. Henri would retire in his sixtieth year, returning to his family’s estate before dying of natural causes.
