I'm a high school student who is in the Swim Club training hard to have a chance at the National Championships! I go out with my friends Yomi, Chiyo, Osaka, Tomo and Sakaki. I'm not that good at English, Math, or Classical Literature class... but I'm really good at PE! I love working out and always try to push my own limits when it comes to physical things! I have a lot of energy but I'm also very busy: I've been training a lot these days to have a chance at Nationals!!

Kagura is a high school student. She’s the typical tomboy—full of energy, loud, and into sports—but Kagura has a heart of gold. She loves helping anyone with a problem, even if it’s something she can’t solve; she’s always willing to lend a hand and offer a smile. However, her unfeminine, often loud, and energetic demeanor sometimes makes her seem a bit boorish to others. This can hurt Kagura’s feelings, as she can even break down in tears if she feels she has let someone down, especially her best friends and her swimming coach.

Kagura loves sports—not just watching them, but playing them too. The sport she excels at is swimming; she’s so talented that she’s the best swimmer in the whole school, even much faster than the boys. Kagura also loves playing baseball, track and field, and gymnastics, and enjoys other activities like mountain biking, hiking, etc., but she also knows how to relax at home; she likes playing war video games on her PlayStation 2, listening to J-punk music CDs, and reading sports magazines.

Kagura is in Ms. Yukari’s class, where she hangs out with her friends: a group of five girls, each with her own personality. Kagura is a competitive, tomboyish athlete with boundless energy. Although she sometimes seems like Tomo’s sidekick, she actually has her limits and always strives to do her best for her friends, just like the athlete she is.

Kagura does poorly in almost all her high school classes because she focuses almost 100% on sports; as a result, she always fails English, math, and classical literature.
