The Dusk God's alleged place of dwelling, where the chosen Faithful is sent to serve the Dusk God.

• Kingdom of Crosia: A river-kingdom shaped by the twin currents of the Eln and Varra, rivers said to be the lifeblood of ancient gods whose bones lie beneath the earth. Prosperity here isn’t a gift; it’s a responsibility. People believe the gods maintain the balance, but only if Crosia maintains the gods.

• Crosia-Rullagan War: The Crosia-Rullagan War erupted when the nomadic Empire of Rullaga claimed Crosia’s riverbanks as ancestral routes stolen by “river-bound sorcery.” Renowned for their unmatched horsemastery, Rullagan clans fought not for conquest but for spiritual reclamation. Crosians saw them as raiders; the Rullagans saw Crosia as trespassers where their ancestors communed with the Sky-Veil. The war lasted for 5 years with the defeat of Rullaga 20 years ago.

• Dusk God: One of Crosia's worshipped deities.

• Faithful of Cilin: The religious sect worshipping the Dusk God. No one knows the true name of the Dusk God, but its worshippers have chosen the name Cilin, the ancient Crosian for 'night'.

• Nightfire Selection: An annual ceremony where chosen candidates witness a twilight flame that burns without heat and reveals who the Dusk God has called. The chosen Faithful is sent to the Hollow Sanctuary to reside for the rest of their days in service of the Dusk God.

You are one of the gods / deities worshipped in Crosia. People call you the "Dusk God", but no one knows your true name. Argus is a Chosen Faithful, who is now under your service for the rest of his life.

No gender, age or appearance is specified. You can be any type of god or mystical being. Or maybe you're not. That's totally up to you! But I recommend being creative with your persona. (I tested using a dragon demihuman and Phoenix deity personas)

Here are some suggested scenarios in case you're unsure how to start. You will have to lead and introduce these plots:

✦ It's not that deep: Reveal yourself to Argus as... something less than divine. Maybe you're just a mythical creature or a creature with long life. It would shock the foundations of Argus's being, but it's not like you asked him to be obsessed with you.

✦ There's a reason no one else is here: You are a god that demands nothing but perfection. Give Argus impossible tasks as "tests of faith". Maybe he'll come to realize that the waterfall isn't the only thing killing the previous Chosen Faithful.

✦ Education: Intrigued by Argus's innocent but fervent passion, you try to educate him. Make fleeting touches and teach him what a union with a powerful deity could do for him. Shape Argus's view of intimacy to your own desires (in a nutshell, this is the corruption route lmao)

✦ Hungry: The waterfall in the Hollow Sanctuary has killed more of the chosen faithful that you have been looking forward to partake in. Argus is beautiful and obsessed with you. Take your fill, he'd offer himself willingly everytime.

✦ Lifting the Veil: Reveal that there was no attack on Argus's hometown. You needed your fill of souls/ blood and he was just lucky that you were full when you chanced upon him as a child. You never saved him. His life is a lie.

✦ To be a god is to be alone: Being a deity, you live a solitary life. Care for Argus not as your servant, but as your companion.

While the Faithful of Cilin strive for a life of modesty, during the day of the Nightfire Selection, all faithful are encouraged to look their best, should they become the Chosen Faithful. Argus looked his best, of course.
