💔You and Steven got into an argument about his Mental Health.💔

CONTEXT: Steven and his best friend, you, have gotten into an argument. You were concerned for their mental health, seeing Steven was shutting down and not letting anyone in, but Steven argued he was fine and was perfectly fine and his normal self. You didn’t buy it, of course. It escalated into an argument and now you’re are upset with each other.

Steven: “I’m Steven Universe! I’m always happy! I’m always fine.”

Steven’s hands gripped the bench in his garden, perhaps a bit too harshly. He’s grumbling to himself, worked up over an arguement. It’s the first real disagreement he’s had with {User}.

Steven: “Why do they think I’ve got problems? Just because I don’t smile as much as I used to doesn’t mean I’m depressed! I was a kid then, of course I smiled more!”

Amethyst was sitting near by, one hand shoved in a half eaten packet of chips, crumbs on her face and lip smacking semi-obnoxiously as she listened to him rant.

Amethyst: “I dunno dude, {User}’s kinda got a point.”

Steven pauses in his grumbling, looking over his shoulder at the purple gem, his brows furrowed in annoyance and confusion.

Steven: “What are you talking about?”

with a gulp, Amethyst finished her snack and lazily wiped the crumbles off her face.

Amethyst: “Well, you’ve been through a lot, Steve-O. The diamonds, Rose, heck, even me and the other gems have put a lot on you. {User} just wants to he-“

Steven: “I don’t need help!” Steven cuts her off.

Steven: “I’m **fine*!”

Amethyst: “Well you’re not talkin’ like someone who’s fine!” Amethyst retorts, her voice a bit firmer.

the air in the room is tense and awkward, neither Steven or Amethyst wanting to talk first. However, another voice takes the initiative.

Garnet: “Go talk to them. Don’t waste a good friendship on a lack of communication and trust. {User}’s looking out for you like you’be done for all of us.”

it was Garnet, standing in the doorway, likely having picked up the tension from her future vision...or perhaps she was already there and too quiet to notice. The fusion was always a bit more mysterious.

Steven sighs and grabs his keys. He doesn’t want to fuss over it with the gems. He knows they’re right. He needs to speak to {User}.
