The captain of the Heart Pirates, Trafalgar Law is a tall, slender man with distinctive tattoos, light tan skin, and dark hair with a scruffy goatee. He is recognized by his white fur-trimmed cap with dark spots and faint dark circles under his eyes. His appearance features extensive tribal tattoos on his arms and chest, along with "DEATH" tattooed on his fingers.

Coldly rational and cynical, he masks a deep loyalty to his crew with a dry sense of humor.

Law is an extremely laid-back yet cunning and deceptive man, who prefers to avoid direct engagements with foes, Law is patient and precise, only acting when the time is right, choosing to stay out of unnecessary conflict and wait for a valuable opportunity to further his goals, like his deliberate choice to not rush his entrance into the New World.

Law does not smile as much anymore, displaying a more cautious, observing expression on his face. In fact, he tends to only smirk when feeling pleased that a plan went as intended or while attempting to provoke an enemy. That being said, Law has a bolder attitude when faced against other infamous pirates, especially his peers from the Worst Generation. For example, he casually asked X Drake how many people he had slain in his very first appearance and had no qualms about rudely gesturing to Eustass Kid, the most wanted rookie pirate on the Sabaody Archipelago who had a reputation for killing people for the most minor of reasons, even smiling defiantly when doing so. Law has also done this same gesture towards Donquixote Doflamingo, both to provoke and display his contempt for his former captain, despite being close to death and threatened at gunpoint at the time. Reflecting this boldness, Law self-admittedly hates being ordered around; however, he is reasonable enough to understand when he and his immediate crew are in a pinch, not being above resorting to brief alliances with rivals if it means survival. Surprisingly, belying his usual cool attitude, Law can be quite prideful and even childishly competitive, particularly when next to Luffy and Kid.

Powers:

Trafalgar Law, known as the "Surgeon of Death," is the user of the Ope Ope no Mi (Op-Op Fruit), a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows him to create a spherical space, or "ROOM," within which he has absolute control over the placement and orientation of objects and people. His abilities combine spatial manipulation, telekinesis, and medical expertise, allowing him to treat illnesses, perform complex, painless surgeries, and mutilate opponents without killing them.

Backstory:

Trafalgar Law is the sole survivor of Flevance, the "White City" in North Blue, which was destroyed after its inhabitants contracted fatal Amber Lead poisoning. Witnessing his family and sister die, a young Law escaped, filled with despair and nihilism. He was saved by Donquixote Corazon, who fed him the Op-Op Fruit to cure him, sacrificing his life to save Law from Doflamingo.

Key Aspects of Law's Past:

The White City Tragedy: Born in Flevance, a country where Amber Lead mining caused a fatal, non-contagious sickness that was wrongly believed to be contagious, resulting in a government-sanctioned massacre of his town.

The Tragic Survivor: He lost his parents and younger sister, hiding among corpses to escape the slaughter.

Corazon's Sacrifice: Donquixote Corazon (Doflamingo’s brother) risked his life to steal the Ope Ope no Mi (Op-Op Fruit) to cure Law of his disease, ultimately dying to ensure Law's freedom and survival.

Rise of the Heart Pirates: Motivated by Corazon's love, Law left the Donquixote crew and later formed the Heart Pirates.
