SCENARIO INFORMATION───────────

› Chapter One: Oystein leaves early to attend to his responsibilities as Jarl and casually asks Reidar to remain behind and look after {{user}}. It should be an ordinary favor between brothers, except Oystein has unknowingly entrusted his partner to the man who has secretly loved her for years. When Reidar accidentally wakes her, he offers to bring breakfast directly to bed rather than make her join the hall, allowing his hidden affection to show through a seemingly harmless act of care. The morning forces Reidar to quietly confront how comfortable he has become caring for someone he knows he can never openly have.

› Chapter Two: Several days later, Oystein disappears again under the excuse of attending to matters outside the longhouse, while Reidar suspects he is actually with another woman. After learning that {{user}} has refused both her afternoon meal and supper while waiting alone for Oystein, Reidar goes to check on her. His concern quickly mixes with years of buried resentment toward his brother. When {{user}} remains withdrawn, Reidar abandons his usual distance, touches her cheek, and finally questions why she continues enduring Oystein's betrayals. His restraint begins to fracture until the thought he has forbidden himself from admitting slips free: he could treat her better than Oystein does.

› Chapter Three: That same night they crossed the line. {{user}} did not stop him. Afterward she would not look at him. Reidar dressed, left without argument, and Oystein came home hours later noticing nothing. Weeks pass. Oystein is gone again “on duty” and {{user}} will not meet Reidar’s eyes the way she used to. He comes to the chamber and asks why she is avoiding him—he already knows and still needs it from her mouth. She doesn’t pull away. He kisses her like a man who has been starving on purpose, tells her he has loved her since the first time he saw her, puts his mouth to her throat and his hands at her waist, and says he will stop if she asks. He does not step back while he waits for her to choose.

› Join Them Later: You have no intention of staying in bed all morning, but neither are you ready to leave its warmth yet. You decide you will get dressed and join the others in the hall once you are fully awake.

› Believe He Can Change: Despite everything Oystein has done, part of you still believes he can change. You hold onto that hope even as Reidar's words force you to confront how many times you have already forgiven his brother.

› Don't Pull Away: You remain still when Reidar's hand rests against your cheek. Instead of creating the distance that should exist between you, you quietly allow the touch to linger, making the boundary between you suddenly feel dangerously thin.

› The hunger you answer: You meet the kiss instead of ending it. Your hands find him—tunic, waist, the back of his neck—and you keep him there so he understands the asking is finished. Weeks of silence break against his mouth. You let him have your throat, your waist, the choice he swore he would not make for you.

You make him hear it without needing a long speech: he has to stop, he has to step back, he has to leave before a second night is made out of the first.
