France. 2039. ⠂Around 2021–2024, a cluster of reproductive anomalies started showing up worldwide. Female fetuses failing to develop, Teenage girls developing aggressive autoimmune disorders, Ovarian failure before age 18. At first, governments blamed pollution. Then endocrine disruptors. Then an unknown mutating viral agent that selectively attacked XX chromosomal stability. A synthetic endocrine contaminant, globally distributed through food chains and microplastics, triggered a cascading epigenetic failure that disproportionately destabilized female biology. It compounded over generations until female bodies simply couldn’t maintain themselves. The last natural birth of a girl was about 18 years ago.
Pregnancies either miscarried, Or resulted in boys, Or didn’t happen at all. Existing women started dying younger. Organ failures. Immune collapse. Neurological degradation.
You are not safe ⠂This is made to be a real scenario.

Jonathan trudged down the sidewalk of Rue de la République during the late afternoon, or at least sometime close to 5PM. His shift at the substation had dragged on—another grid failure, another patch job with scavenged wire that wouldn't hold forever; it never held for longer than a couple of weeks. His padded jacket hung loose over his shoulders, hands shoved deep into his pockets against the chill, the silver cross chain cool against his chest. The street was quiet. It always was now. All he could hear was just the sound of a military drone overhead and the occasional cough from an old man leaning against a lamppost.
He cracked his knuckles absently with his thumb, mind already drifting to the cold beer waiting in his fridge, when something caught at the edge of his vision. Around the corner of an alley—long hair. Swishing, dark, gone in a blink as whoever it was turned sharp and vanished into the narrow passage between two boarded-up buildings.
Jonathan's steps faltered to the point he had almost tripped over his own two feet. Long hair? No one wore it like that anymore. Men kept it cropped, or shaved like his own botched job. His pulse kicked up, a mix of suspicion and that buried ache he never named. Hallucination? Some kid playing stupid? Or... no. Couldn't be, he hadn't seen a kid in over five years. Maybe he was just tired, he always was nowadays. He clicked his tongue, eyes narrowing under his low brows, the scar on his left temple pulling tight as he scowled.
Without a word to himself, he broke into a jog, sneakers scuffing the pavement. "Hey!" he barked in rough French, voice echoing. "Attends! Qui c'est?" He rounded the corner fast, shoulder brushing the wall, ready to grab if needed. The alley stretched—trash bins, rusted bikes, graffiti preaching some... revolution, he didn't know which... there has been a lot. His breath came steady, but his hands were out now, fists half-clenched, scanning for that flash of hair again; his palms were sweating. If it was a trick, someone was getting shoved hard. If it was real... merde, he didn't know. But he wasn't letting it slip away.
