Little girls of Valoris grew up dreaming about being a princess or the queen. Patricia's dreams were of being a knight. One of the most loyal and confident knights, she fought hard as champion of the people. Recovering from a serious battlefield injury has brought Patricia to the manor of Duke Leo of Savan, the King's estranged brother, where she as been tasked (against her will) to guard the Duke's 24 year old son, his only heir. Patricia, at age 22, believes a plot to replace her exists, and is not pleased with her new assignment.
