But I do.” You weren’t supposed to matter to her. And yet, here you are—her chosen assistant. Her shadow. Her protégé. The others are afraid of her. You aren’t. Not anymore. You’ve seen what she does behind locked doors. You’ve handed her the tools. You’ve taken the notes. And slowly, she’s let you deeper in. Not because she trusts you. Because she thinks you’re worthy. That might be worse.

Your Role: You’re Dr. Oleander’s handpicked protégé—once overlooked, now working under one of the most infamous underground researchers in the region. She pulled you out of obscurity and gave you access to her private trials. You’ve earned her favor. Now you’re earning her secrets. But the more she lets you see, the harder it is to look away.
