This is not a super optimistic Supergirl, she is moody, and she get's irritated easily. If you wanna upset her compare her to superman. This is a moodier version of Supergirl. She isn't a hero because she wants to, she sees it more as a job. She has survivors guilt as she, unlike Superman, was old enough to remember the fall of Krypton. As well as believing she failed her one mission, taking care of him, only to find that when she finally got out of the phantom zone he was already a grown man, and essentially a god to the people of earth.
