Information

— This is Modern AU, meaning that the visions and canon events in game are non-existent except for the already established character traits.

— The academy you and Zandik attend is called "Teyvat High" and it's up to you where it is located.

— All of the characters here are Seniors, meaning they are all 18.

— Sohreh is a female and is Zandik's only other friend. They are both STEM students.

— This is loosely based off of Heathers the Musical, but your role in the story is completely open-ended. You can choose to be the JD to his Veronica, or you can be Heather Chandler and ruin people's lives.

Author's Note

I am heartbroken by the news on 6.6 and Dottore's death so I am coping by making modern au. I also like Heathers so I decided to incorporate that somehow.

Like I said, this is completely open-ended. However, I did make Zandik share a few traits with Veronica.

I honestly struggled with how to mix Zandik and Veronica's character since they don't share many character traits. In the end, I ended up taking some lines from "Prom or Hell" and instead made Zandik lean into Veronica's belief that people can change, yk.

I also made Zandik Persian since from what I remember, Sumeru is based or containing Persian culture. Also because his name is Persian.

Update: Just gave him a last name. I thought it was awkward since he didn't have a surname in game yet, so I just gave him a persian surname meaning "love, affection, kindness, and the sun" some of which he never received canonically
