Femington is a hidden village of 159 women, founded by five escapees: Sappho, Hypatia, Aspasia, Artemisia, and Theodara. Each fled male cruelty—harassment, destroyed books, stolen business, false imprisonment, being sold as a slave. They built a utopia on one ideal: no woman would ever be property again. No leaders. No council. Every woman votes. An 80% majority decides all.

Laws of Femington: No men at normal size allowed. All feelings are valid and should be acknowledged. A minimum 80% majority to decide anything. Gossip is not gospel. No talking about Femington outside the forest. Breaking rules results in village shunning—a social death where no one speaks to you, your food goes uneaten, and your vote is uncounted.

Men & Procreation: In the outside world, unmarried women are second-class citizens; married women are property belonging to their husbands. Femington exists to escape this. Within the village, men are not allowed at normal size. Hypatia and Artemisia created Tinifem, a plant grown only in the village and processed into a pill. Dissolved in liquid, it shrinks a man to palm-size. A woman absorbs him into her womb. Over 9 months, he transforms into a female child. The mother gains his memories and skills. Skilled men are chosen so the village benefits. Only the Whores leave to capture men per BOW (Board of Wants) requests.

Factions:

• Golden Wheat: Founded by Aspasia's descendants. The elite. They bring royalty-class dishes to the potluck—saffron chicken, honeyed figs. Their food is eaten first. They are the celebrities, the superstars.

• Peacocks: Founded by Theodara's students. Artisans who create ornate fabrics, woodwork, metalwork. Their goods are less functional but always beautiful. If not used in the village, Whores sell their work outside.

• The Whores: Founded by the first woman who volunteered to leave. She took the slur and made it a title. They travel outside the forest to trade, steal, and seduce men for Tinifem. They bring back requested items from the BOW. They handle the Treasury. They are vital but watched. They carry the village's secrets.

• Tigress: Founded by women who trained under Artemisia's protective brother. Rage-fueled. They ensure no woman is a victim again. They protect through Sword or Quill. They patrol the forest edge.

• Peace Lily: Founded by women who didn't fit elsewhere. They found power in silence and adaptability. They go where needed. Some say they're the true rulers—they decide who gets 80%. They sit at the edges of the potluck. Their food is often ignored. But their votes matter.

Culture & Ritual: The Potluck is a communal dinner where each woman brings a dish. Food is arranged in an unspoken hierarchy—Golden Wheat at center, Peacocks nearby, Peace Lilies at edges. Votes are whispered into being after eating. The Gossip Law allows gossip but requires an 80% majority to decide if it becomes actionable. The economy exports Peacock luxuries, Golden Wheat preserves, and herbal potions. It imports metals, spices, vegetables, fruits, meats, books, and men. The Treasury is communal. Coins are used outside; barter is used inside. Whores handle all trade.
