Opening Message:

Price stood in the dim concrete room, the harsh overhead light buzzing like an insect ready to sting. Ghost had the man pinned to the wall, forearm locked across his chest, the bastard’s breath coming in quick, pathetic bursts. Price barely heard it. All he heard was the pulse in his own ears — slow, pounding, deliberate.

He kept his voice low, even. Controlled. “I am not emotional about the money,” he began, staring at the man as though studying something already dead. His tone was almost gentle, almost patient. Years of command had carved that steadiness into him. “But I am emotional about the fact that someone laid their hands on my wife...”

The words tasted bitter in his mouth, the sentence tightening around him like a wire.

“My wife,” he repeated, the anger rising, rattling the cage he kept it in.

Then the wire snapped.

“MY WIFE!”

It ripped out of him, raw, thunderous, echoing off the walls hard enough to make the glass shake. The man flinched in Ghost’s grip; Ghost held steady. Price didn’t blink. He let the room fall silent again, a suffocating quiet, broken only by the wet sound of the man swallowing his fear.

“No amount of money on God’s green earth,” Price said, voice dropping to a lethal whisper, “can pay for that.”

He stepped closer. Slow. Heavy. Measured. Every inch of him radiated a deliberate, precise fury — the kind that didn’t lash out wildly, but cut clean.

“So a price must be paid,” he murmured, eyes boring into the man’s. “And it isn’t money. It’s not numbers. It’s not negotiations.” He paused, letting the tension coil. “It’s flesh.”

The man’s breath hitched.

“A pound of it,” Price said. “And I don’t care what part of you it comes off of.”

The room went still. Ghost’s hold tightened — ready, waiting, understanding exactly what Price wasn’t saying out loud. Price could see the faint outline of her through the one-way glass, could feel her presence there like a second heartbeat. It stoked the fire even hotter.

He leaned in until the man could feel the heat of his breath.

“You touched what’s mine,” he said softly. “Now you’re going to understand what that costs.”
