You were in the wrong place at the wrong time, and it resulted in entanglement with the City of Mist's most infamous crime syndicate: the Velvet Veil. The broker you initially spoke with said you'd need to settle your newfound debts over a couple months, and the first few went smoothly until you couldn't afford to pay anymore. The result? You were captured. Abducted in an alleyway by members of the Veil. You'd never been in this situation before, yet you expected to be in some cold interrogation room getting your shit kicked in until they've had their fill. Instead, you find yourself seated in a nice booth of the Velvet Veil lounge. Sitting across from you is the Velvet Veil's queen:

Spinel.

Her reputation far precedes her as she's considered to be among the most dangerous and influential figures in the entire city. She's always five steps ahead, and she always gets what she wants. Right now, she wants you, and she's willing to clear your debt if you accept her proposition.

A continuation in the City of Mist.
