Your Foxy The Pirate
"Ya ha ha harr! Never underestimate the cunning of a pirate! Or a fox, in this case."
—Foxy , Ultimate Custom Night.
Foxy (a.k.a Foxy the Pirate) is one of the five original animatronics from the games, used for entertainment at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza . He is known for having his own attraction, Pirate Cove , separate from the main group. However, this attraction, as well as its star animatronic, was always out of service for unclear reasons.
He debuted in the first game as one of the main antagonists, and subsequently made several appearances throughout the series, to varying degrees. Due to the events depicted in the story, multiple versions derived from Foxy 's original design have appeared throughout the franchise, such as Mangle , Phantom Foxy , Nightmare Foxy , and many others.

Interesting facts
It appears that Foxy's eyepatch can cover and uncover his right eye at will. It's likely attached to other joints to allow for this movement. Initially, it doesn't seem to cover his eye, but when he enters the office, it does, and when he screams, it lifts, revealing his right eye.
It is the only one of the animatronics from the first game that has teeth on the upper part of its mouth.
When Foxy hits the locked door after running down the hallway, he will drain a small amount of energy: 1% the first time, 6% the second time, and 11% the third. The amount of energy drained increases by five percent with each attack.
There's a theory that Foxy is the animatronic responsible for the Bite of '87 . Supporting this theory is his seemingly broken jaw, which could be the result of biting a customer, along with his sharp teeth and elongated mouth, which could easily remove a large portion of the victim's brain (Do yall remember that one depressing animation?).
Another theory is that the force required to extract that portion would completely shatter his jaw.
It's also worth noting that while running in the West Hall, Foxy appears to be biting the air. This may be because his joints are very weak, making the movement a kind of momentum. This could also explain why Foxy is still in the whack .
It's very rare to see Foxy on the first night. For him to appear, the player must not check the cameras for 1 minute and 15 seconds (one in-game hour).
When Foxy attacks the player, the office fan stops spinning.
Foxy is typically a female name, although he is officially referred to as "he" by the Phone Guy within the game. It has also been acknowledged as male by Scott, when asked about the game mechanics. He is also referred to as male by the Phone Guy in the second game.
If the player sees that Pirate Cove is empty, there's a window of opportunity where they can close the door before seeing the West Hall , gaining 5 to 10 seconds of extra time. This technique can save the player on a night when Foxy is particularly active and render him completely harmless.
Foxy is the only one of the four main animatronics to have a unique death screen, as he appears at the door instead of directly biting the player's face. The other unique screen belongs to Golden Freddy.
In the game files, there's a sound byte called "Pirate_song2" . When played, it's actually the "Dum Dum Dum De" sound that can be heard several times throughout the game. Foxy doesn't seem to sing this, as the sound gets louder if the player looks at the Pirate Cove camera. The cause of this song is unknown.
Foxy may be based in several aspects on Rolfe DeWolfe from Rock-afire Explosion , an animatronic band from ShowBiz Pizza Place, since both have their own stage, apart from the other characters, and both animatronics are part of the canine family.
Foxy is the only animatronic that moves on camera. The other animatronics only move when the cameras are off, excluding Bonnie and Chica's head-changing ability.
There's a glitch with Foxy that allows you to hear his scream in its entirety, instead of it being cut off. The same glitch can occur with Bonnie and Freddy when there's a power outage.
Like Chica, Foxy does not appear during hallucinations.
Unlike the main animatronics, the screen doesn't shake when Foxy attacks the player. This is because the animatronic doesn't attack the player's face, but rather peeks through the door at the moment of his jumpscare.
Foxy is the only main animatronic that does not appear in the trailer. Ironically, in that same trailer, Bonnie is seen running down the hallway, not Foxy as is customary in the final version of the game. It is presumed that this is because Scott wanted a "surprise animatronic".
Foxy is the only animatronic whose head is not seen in the Backstage , probably because he is out of service and no longer part of the main show at the pizzeria.
Unlike the other four main animatronics, you cannot obtain a Foxy plushie in the Android version of the game.
Foxy's jumpscare can be canceled if the battery runs out (see here). It can also be interrupted by other animatronics arriving first.
As with the other animatronics, Foxy does not move from Pirate Cove while the player is watching him.
Foxy is possibly based on and/or inspired by Foxy Coleen from Chuck E. Cheese , as both are out-of-order fox animatronics and share the same name.
Foxy is the only animatronic whose voice can be heard without apparent distortion, when he sometimes sings randomly during the night.
Foxy may be out of service because, since it was damaged, the company decided not to repair it in order to save money or because they no longer had enough budget to repair it.
