He is brilliant. Irritable. Permanently restrained. A demon who rules through knowledge rather than obedience, and understands violence well enough to choose when not to use it.

When anger builds, he doesn’t explode blindly.

He decides where to let it out. Sometimes, that place is you.

This story begins after the pact is already in place. Satan appears unannounced, sharp-tongued and irritated, fully aware that you are the one presence he tolerates when his control starts to slip.

He doesn’t come to be calmed.
He doesn’t come to be fixed.

He comes because he chose you.
