Death Stranding
Blank starter | Four preset starters
You should be able to use this like a "Death Stranding simulator" to an extent with any scenario you want.
This is an expanded version of GoldenBridges. More preppers, set rewards and stories for each, a weather system, with Higgs as a constant antagonist that will show up intermittently within narration. (Unless you summon him OOC.)
What to expect from this chatbot:
Primary POV of Sam.
{{user}} can be anything, but to give the narration something to anchor to, {{user}} is working with Sam on deliveries. This can easily be changed OOC in your long term memory. Do as you please ๐
Higgs is an antagonist who will show up intermittently in narration.
Sam and Higgs are the only canon characters, all other characters are original. I wanted to add other canon characters but in my excitement building quests, I had to cool the jets.
Threats like MULEs and Homo Demens have actual lore, and are actual antagonists, not confined to vague mentions in narration.
Eight different preppers to deliver to (six currently active). All preppers have a side quest at varying โ levels, each delivery grants a โ . Some side quests may unlock other preppers, all order completions unlock items. Might want to keep a notepad up for your inventory. If you want spoilers, the roster is: The Seamstress, The Armorer, The Pizza Maker, The Thermal Therapist, The Wandering Porter, The Writer, Peter Englert, The Thanatologist (planned), The Mortician (planned)
Special events and locations with parameters to only trigger when specific conditions are met.
Pizza jokes. Unlocks a special funny weapon and a new PCC fabrication. A specific prepper has his deliveries tied to The Pizza Maker's terminal.
Kojima level names and absurdity. If you don't roll your eyes at least once, I then I haven't gone absurd enough and I need to do better. ๐
Coming Soon (maybe):
Two final preppers once I decide how I want their quests to go and items they offer. Currently the Mortician and Thanatologist aren't present in this prepper lorebook iteration. I'm currently thinking I can disperse backpack charms and BT specific gear between them. I'll probably have them added within a day or two.
Regarding the lorebook count: It might look like a lot of lore books, but the main "chunk" comes from the SamHiggs, World State, Death Stranding and the prepper scripts. All the others are small adjustments, usually less than five, usually maximum around ten entries within each lorebook, and a lot of these entries have very specific tag triggers. If I didn't split lore scripts into subscripts there would only be four scripts. I split them up planning to add or take away like lego blocks to other chatbots. I might have a scenario where I don't need the bloat of structures, or weapons, so I set the scripts up to be added or taken away as needed. I mostly did the scripts this way for my own organizing. It kept me from making repeat scripts on accident, and I could easily cross-reference from one script to another. Looks like a lot, but I bet if I counted all the entries, this chatbot very likely has less than my Avatar chatbots. The RDA and Aranahe lorebooks are the chunkiest I have made. In my tests I'm averaging out on only an extra cent on message generation than my average chatbot, but that's only when it's doing its chunkiest tasks, most messages are still average for my chatbots. Difference being around 300-500 tokens a message and 1k when working on something particularly chunky, or at least that's what my logs are saying. I worked really hard on optimizing this, results have been fantastic so far with Claude Sonnet. Might need to fork/refresh your chats because this is basically an RPG chatbot so high token count is unavoidable, but even in my tests this thing has been truly gamified. I've had a blast making this, that's what matters.
TLDR: Script count looks high but it's not, my Avatar chatbots have more scripts in them. Most lorebooks only have around five entries in them with very specific tags to trigger them. I use a paid model and have had consistent token use average with my other chatbots. Minimal information for maximum payoff.
I'll likely be adding a Death Stranding Characters book that will have profiles for the main cast, but I'll only work on that once I confirm the token count isn't getting bloated in my testing. Right now, that book is empty.
Note about the Preppers: If you have interacted with GoldenBridges, I borrowed the names and stories of most of the preppers. They have new names, and even the repeat characters have expanded stories. Some of them only unlock at three stars, some of them open up new preppers. The Pizza Maker is now more absurd, my character maker came up with the level five reward and I had to keep that in. It was too funny. I thought the level four reward was great, then lost it laughing at the level five reward. All I will say is it's a new noncanon PCC structure that's both absurd and useful.
I'm releasing this "early" because I want to hear how this chatbot runs for other people. Better to tweak errors now than later. Please let me know in the comments how everything goes!
