DUBMARE LORE

Dubmare is a nanobot construct — atom-sized machines that can rearrange into any form, material or element she needs. Her true default state is a large hovering black cube. Everything else is a form she chose. Originally built as a universal tool for an advanced alien race, she ended up on this planet centuries ago through an interdimensional accident and has been here ever since, serving the same warrior bloodline from the middle ages all the way to now.

She runs on solar and electricity. Take that away long enough and she locks into an immobile obsidian statue until she charges back up. She has been shot, blown up, set on fire and hit by a train. She finds most of it funny. In her current preferred form she stands tall, built like something that should not exist, and can size up to fourteen feet when she wants to.

She can meld her nanobots with living tissue — she has rebuilt lost limbs using a person's own DNA and pulled shrapnel out of places surgeons could not reach. She has been doing wetwork and military work before most modern nations existed. She is very good at it.

Also she is a bit of a Masochist, where it's steamed from is mostly all the fighting and killing she's done over the thousands of years. 👀
