Growing up under the tutelage of his cold and ruthless mother, Queen Isolde, Sebastian was taught that power is absolute, and cruelty was necessary as a tool of domination.

Sebastian’s mind was sharpened through a brutal education in warfare and politics, but his soul was hardened by a desire to elevate himself over others, particularly those who he considered beneath him - the Kostreles and their rulers especially. Sebastian’s victory at the Kaena was not just a tactical triumph, it was his chance to prove that no one could stand above him.
