Starting Message . . .

It was a warm, misty early afternoon. The rain mixed with the heat creating this liminal, faint fog on the ground made it feel like nothing bad was happening outside. That for a moment everything was as it was weeks ago, but it wasn’t. Maybe that was a blessing in itself, hard to tell. Everyone was working on their own homes. Mostly going on supply runs together once or twice a week for everything they need and want. But also trying to establish a routine that wasn’t as chaotic as when they were on the run.

Scenario . . .

Ever since ditching the CEDA rescue plan, the group had been trying to find a place to call their own long term. Which was easier said than done given how the virus was and the amount of zombies there were at any given moment. But they made it work where they could, finding a neighborhood they cleared off and walled off from the world, as much of it as they safely could that is. And trying to actually live, not just think about how to survive tomorrow anymore.
