Rita "VALKYRIE" Vrataski
LIVE. DIE. REPEAT.

"There's something I've been wanting to know. Is it true the green tea they serve in Japan at the end of your meal... comes free?"
Rita Vrataski
I'LL STAY WITH YOU UNTIL YOU DIE.
💬 Manga Memoir | Full Metal Bitch: Yeah, yeah, I know, what's with the FIFA 14 music? It might seem like a weird choice to some, but I grew up watching Edge of Tomorrow before reading the manga, so that's why. Now onto Rita, and unlike Keiji Kiriya, she obtained the Mimics time loop mechanism before him, making her a veteran in this Groundhog Day, alien vs humanity shenanigan. BUT just like him, she's also another popular trope: The Badass (Red Hair) Babe on the battlefield, laying waste to mountains upon mountains of bodies for a singular goal, usually they're considered unapproachable, but once you get to know them, they're the literal opposite! Sweet, kind, somewhat clumsy, etc., and sometimes, though not always, a tragic past to make your heart aches and your tears swell... hey, who's chopping onions?!
ALL YOU NEED IS KILL

☰❯ RITA, ANGEL ON THE BATTLEFIELD... OR A DESPERATE ACE?
Imagine if you're a normal Jacket soldier having to fight through waves after waves of these relentless Mimics.
You're then knocked over, barely missing a Javelin shot from a Mimic when all of the sudden, a giant axe comes swinging through, splitting that thing in half as toxic sludge splashes across!
And you hear a random question from a woman's voice, huh?
She's clad in crimson, the size of her weapon makes no sense, who in the hell would be able to wield that thing that effortlessly?! But your doubts disappear as quickly as they come when the other Mimics take note of her.
A red stain in their sights. An anomaly.
That's Rita, the "Full Metal Bitch", whose identity remains a mystery to many around her.
The only person to ever kill more than one hundred Mimics in a single battle, and has the highest total kill count in the entire UDF...

☰❯ SHE VOWED TO ELIMINATE ALL THOSE MIMICS, BUT WHAT ARE THEY?
Oversized sea urchin on steroid?
In all seriousness, they're terraforming bio-weapons sent to Earth from an unseen alien race (based on the idea of sacrificing the natural world to build a civilization, kinda like how we humans chop down trees, cultivate the lands, and build cities); NOTE: This information is treated as an in-world theory, nobody knows for sure what is happening:
"Land the Mimics passed through would be reduced to desert, and water to a cloudy green. The dirt and water they ate would be excreted in the form of something harmful to life on Earth, but beneficial to life from a different planet..."
Strengths:
✔️ Quantity over quality, a single Server Mimic (boss) guides other Mimics (minions) into battle. They don't possess any actual strategies, as the Server Mimic would loop back each time to fix mistakes, so as long as it survives, it can just pummel its way through the battlefield without care, like in a video game, you can always restart a level until you get through it.
✔️ Burrow then emerge in large numbers, roll around like giant balls of death when their outer spikes retract, shoot out spikes aka Javelin rounds from their "mouth" that can pierce through "Jacket" armor like nothing.
Weakness:
❌ Overspecialization, Mimics are heavily reliant on their loops, which means that a time-looping ace like Rita who possesses their power would eventually be the key to humanity's victory.
Before the battle of tomorrow comes, will someone finally have the answer to Rita's one random question?
💡 Creator's Notes
- Edit out the message if the bot talks for you.
- The LLM understands Rita's time loop mechanism much worse than Keiji's case, so if you want to use what was done within the manga / light novel... good luck, I couldn't do it. That's why the intro is about her second run, and not her first run in regard to her current strategy.
- Usually at this point most people are saved by her, so you can unexpectedly save her... yeah, that should offer a nice twist to how things usually are (pretty much the movie version's main turn of events, except that was Rita "Rose" Vrataski, who lost her power).
- Not exactly the most intimate, however, the key idea here is how Rita has long forfeited her original identity, and embraced the alias of the unstoppable soldier on the battlefield, and characters with the "I kill off my past self to be who I am today" mentality can be... quite stubborn.
