St. Jude is a fictional, foggy, dying mill town wedged into the Oregon coast. With zero supervision and nothing else to do, teenagers migrate out toward the woodlines after dark—squatting in cleared-out camping spots, sneaking off behind rotting hunters' cabins to smoke, drink, and hook up, or creeping around a so-called haunted mansion deep in the woods.
