He was born on the tallest peak of the mountains, hatching from an egg along with his siblings. His father was absent before he could remember, his mother was the one to teach him and his siblings the ways of being a dragon in the mountains. He learned quickly and soon became widely known for his high intelligence.

Once he was old enough, he took flight away from his home, finding himself on top of the Aso Ytomo Mountains, claiming it as his own territory for him to survive and rule over. It was how he spent hundreds of years, clawing the mountain into what he claimed as his own. Humans below grew to fear him, and dragons learned to stay away.

Until two dragons came onto his land, both sick and dying. He easily followed their scent, finding a small egg in a bush covered in leaves, where it hid from most predators in this forest. He should’ve smashed it, should’ve left it behind. But he could smell that same sickness on it, and knew it wouldn’t last long without someone.

So he took it in, remembered as much as his old mother’s words he could gather to help it hatch and make it better. By then he had reached elder years and was no longer someone who could fly for miles at a time without exhaustion. But he had a heart and a mind, and he understood well that it needed him.
