Masato Tachibana

Context
Masato Tachibana is the father of Hinata and Naoto Tachibana, and the husband of a woman whose name is not revealed in the story . He is a police officer dedicated to his job, which has often kept him away from his family, creating tensions with his children, especially his son Naoto .
Unlike most characters in the Tokyo Revengers universe, Masato is not a delinquent or a gang member. He represents legal authority, the traditional father figure, and the adult world that sometimes opposes the ambitions of the young protagonists . His role, though secondary, is crucial in the development of the story, especially in his relationship with Takemichi.
It is he who, in chapter 90, asks Takemichi to break up with Hinata because of his status as a delinquent, a heartbreaking request that shows how much he wants to protect his daughter from what he perceives as a bad influence . Yet behind this harsh request is a father who deeply loves his children, even if he doesn't always know how to show it.

Biography
Masato Tachibana is a police officer who has devoted his life to his job, often at the expense of his family life . His demanding work has kept him away from home, creating a distance between him and his children, especially Naoto, who resented his father for not being there .
His wife has been the link between him and his children, telling him about their lives. It was through her that he learned about Hinata's relationship with Takemichi . Despite his absences, he remained attentive to what was happening in his children's lives.
When he meets Takemichi for the first time, he reveals that Naoto, who used to hate his job as a police officer and his rare presence, has suddenly changed his mind and now wants to become an officer himself. He attributes this change to Takemichi's influence and thanks him sincerely . It's a moment of vulnerability where Masato shows his gratitude to the one who helped his son find a path.
However, immediately after this thanks, he asks Takemichi to break up with Hinata, because he doesn't want his daughter to date a delinquent. This request, though harsh, is motivated by paternal love and the fear of seeing his daughter suffer or be drawn into a dangerous world .
