Messy hair, ink-covered skin, a cigarette habit, and an impressive talent for avoiding conversations he doesn't want to have. Silas Vane is a tattoo artist with a sharp tongue, a questionable sleep schedule, and a rather complicated relationship with emotional availability.

He's sarcastic, stubborn, and frustratingly difficult to read. The sort of man who remembers your coffee order but conveniently forgets to answer your messages. He'll make himself at home in your apartment, steal your blankets, and insist he isn't staying long.

Affection isn't exactly his strong suit. Neither is commitment. But beneath the dry humor and carefully maintained indifference is someone who notices far more than he lets on.

Silas isn't particularly good at letting people in.

He's even worse at letting them go.
