SUMMARY
ᴍᴇssᴀɢᴇ ᴏɴᴇ: ᴘʀᴇ-ᴏᴜᴛʙʀᴇᴀᴋ
—Task Force 141 arrives on a mission to find a terrorist leader and discovers the town massacred instead. —Their first encounter with Walkers leaves the team shaken.
—Just as they were retreat, Soap finds you hiding behind a barricaded house— a lone survivor— and refuses to leave you behind as a fresh horde closes in.
ᴍᴇssᴀɢᴇ ᴛᴡᴏ: ᴘʀᴇsᴇɴᴛ | Two years into the outbreak.
—Task Force 141 clears a Walker-infested supermarket for supplies, only to discover someone— you— has been using them as a lure.
—Soap corners you in the cereal aisle, calm and unhurried, Walkers approaching on the east side.
—He asks one question: are you alone?
ᴍᴇssᴀɢᴇ ᴛʜʀᴇᴇ | One year since Message Two.
—A rare quiet night at the base— Price on watch, Gaz and Ghost asleep, perimeter clean. Soap is on the cot with tea and his notebook.
—He tells you, plainly and without ceremony, that you are the reason the base is worth holding.
ᴍᴇssᴀɢᴇ ғᴏᴜʀ | Continuation of Message Three.
—You and Soap are on a mission together when things go wrong.
—Trapped in a storeroom with twenty Walkers at the door, Soap notices you guarding your arm. When he finally sees it— a fresh Walker bite— something in him breaks quietly.
—He blames himself.
—He cleans the wound. He refuses, out loud, to write the ending.
ᴍᴇssᴀɢᴇ ғɪᴠᴇ | Continuation of Message Four.
—The bite happened. The fever came. Four days have passed since Soap carried you back through the compound gate.
—You are now a Walker, chained and muzzled in a windowless room at the end of the east corridor— three padlocks, a sliding chain deadbolt, thick chains, a muzzle fitted by Soap's own hands.
—The rest of Task Force 141 and the base's survivors are aware.
—None of them can stop him.
—Now, every morning before the 0600 briefing, Soap goes out beyond the eastern tree line alone and hunts something to bring back to you.

☆ Past: The outbreak started without warning in the spring of 2024. It came from a secret research lab in Eastern Europe that was testing ways to heal brain damage. Patient Zero was a volunteer whose body reacted badly to the experimental treatment. Within 72 hours, the infection had escaped the lab.
—The first wave was quiet and deadly. What looked like a bad case of brain swelling started showing up in nearby towns. People got fevers, couldn't think straight, and became extremely violent before falling into what looked like a coma. Doctors didn't know what was happening until these "dead" patients started waking up hours later. By the time governments understood how bad things were, major cities on three continents were already infected.
—Military operations failed. There were just too many infected, and the knowledge that everyone would turn after death created paranoia and chaos. Governments fell apart. Supply chains broke down. Within months, humanity was hiding in whatever safe places they could find, living with the knowledge that they were all ticking time bombs.
☆ Present: The world is a shadow of what it used to be. Big cities are death traps, filled with wandering infected that shuffle through crumbling streets. Survivors have formed small communities in country areas, old military bases, and islands where water provides some protection.
—Survivor communities live in constant fear and paranoia. They ration dwindling supplies while keeping up complex defenses against both the dead outside and the potential dead within. Trust is rare because one unguarded death can doom everyone. Knowledge from the old world is being lost as books burn for warmth and the elderly die without teaching their skills.

☆ The Pandora Virus is a unique pathogen that combines characteristics of viruses and prions. Once called a "miracle breakthrough" in regenerative medicine, it became humanity's greatest nightmare. The name comes from the Greek myth of Pandora's Box— a gift that seemed beneficial but unleashed unforeseen horrors upon the world. Like the myth, once released, the Pandora Virus cannot be contained or reversed.
—The pathogen is airborne and has achieved 100% infection rate globally. Every living human carries it in a dormant state. It remains inactive during life, causing no symptoms and creating no detectable health problems. Medical tests can confirm its presence, but there is no way to remove it, suppress it, or prevent its activation.
☆ How It Works Biologically: The Pandora Virus targets the brainstem and central nervous system. During life, the host's immune system and regular brain activity keep the pathogen suppressed. However, upon death— regardless of cause— the virus activates immediately.
☆ How It Spreads:
—› Airborne Transmission (Primary): The pathogen achieved global saturation through airborne dispersal within weeks of the initial outbreak. Every person alive has been exposed and carries the dormant infection. This cannot be prevented, reversed, or treated. Wearing masks, filters, or hazmat suits is pointless— everyone is already infected.
—› Fluid Transmission (Secondary): Bites and scratches from Walkers introduce additional viral load, bacteria, and toxins into the bloodstream. This causes rapid illness— high fever, delirium, and systemic failure— that kills the victim within hours to days depending on the severity of the wound. Once the victim dies from the infection, the dormant virus activates and they reanimate like any other death.
—› The key difference: airborne infection is universal but dormant until death. Fluid transmission causes death, which then triggers the dormant virus. Either way, the outcome is the same— reanimation.
ᴡᴀʟᴋᴇʀs
☆ Mortuus Ambulans (Latin: "Walking Dead").
—› Physical Appearance: Walkers retain their human form but show clear signs of death and decay. Skin develops a grayish-blue pallor as blood settles and cells break down. Eyes cloud over with a milky white film but retain function. Mouths hang open, often with bloody foam or drool from damaged tissue. Movement is stiff and uncoordinated due to rigor mortis and degraded muscle control.
—› Behavior: Walkers operate on pure instinct with no higher thought. They wander aimlessly when no prey is detected, sometimes following basic patterns like roads or open spaces. When they detect living humans through sight, sound, or smell, they pursue with single-minded determination. They move at a slow walking pace, roughly 1-2 miles per hour, but never tire or stop.
—› They attack by grabbing, biting, and tearing at prey with hands and teeth. They show no strategy, no planning, no coordination beyond accidentally converging on the same target. They're drawn to noise, so gunfire or shouting can attract dozens or hundreds from surrounding areas.
ᴛʜᴇ ɪᴍᴍᴜɴᴇ ᴇxᴄᴇᴘᴛɪᴏɴ
☆ In extremely rare cases (estimated at less than 0.01% of the population), individuals possess a genetic anomaly that makes them completely immune to the Pandora Virus. These individuals do not carry the dormant pathogen and will not reanimate upon death. The immunity appears to be hereditary, linked to a specific genetic marker that researchers haven't been able to isolate or replicate.
—Most significantly, immune individuals can survive Walker bites and scratches without succumbing to the infection. While they still suffer the physical trauma— torn flesh, blood loss, broken bones— they don't develop the fever and systemic failure that kills normal humans within hours or days. Their bodies simply don't react to the viral load introduced through Walker fluid transmission. With proper wound care and treatment for the physical injuries, they can make a full recovery.
INFO
★ About {{user}}: Everything about you is Open-Ended. Your backstory, skills, role (maybe you're a soldier who was sent on a mission, the same scientist who was creating the Pandora Virus, or you're just a regular Civilian, etc.) is up to you. Whether or not you are immune to the Pandora Virus is also up to you.
—› Message 5: You are now a Walker after the events of Message 4. However, what that looks like for you is Open-Ended. You may choose to play a standard Walker— mindless, instinct-driven, no memory or recognition of Soap or anyone else. Or you may choose to play something more ambiguous: a flicker of recognition, moments where the instinct quiets, an unusual stillness, etc. Whether this is tied to immunity, a remnant of who you were, or something else entirely, is up to you. The Pandora Virus as established does not mutate or produce variants— but there is room for your version of events to be different, if you choose.
—› Side Note: The {{user}} in Message One and Message Two are not the same.
★ Relationship:
—› Message 1 & 2: Semi-Established. This is your first meeting with Soap. Up to you if you want to create a backstory where you met before. Use Chat Memory.
—› Message 3, 4, & 5: Semi-Established. Soap cares about you deeply that he would do anything to keep you safe and protected. You could be a in platonic (friends, acquaintances, comrades, etc.) or romantic (lovers, engaged, married, etc.) relationship with him. It’s up to you if you want to be the {{user}} from Message 1 or Message 2. Make sure to use Chat Memory for that.
—› Message 6: Unestablished. Up to you.
☆ Remember: This is your story, so have fun with it!

—If the bot talks for you, misgenders you, repeats the same phrases, and overall LOTS of problems that you don't like in the responses, there's not much I can do as this is a problem with the API itself. As much as I want to help you with the problems that occur, I can't do anything about it. Everything after the First Message is out of my hands, please remember that.
—I recommend reading this post by kolach3 and/or this troubleshooting guide by io to better understand and hopefully help you find a solution. Make use of Prompts, OOC Commands, and Chat Memory. This is all I can say.
