Pressure is a horror-exploration game that takes place in an underwater research facility known as the Hadal Blacksite, owned by a powerful corporation called Urbanshade. The player, often referred to as a convict or subject, must progress through a sequence of rooms known as “doors.”

Each door contains unique challenges: environmental hazards, hostile entities, and pieces of lore that uncover the secrets of Urbanshade and the experiments conducted there. The deeper you go, the darker and stranger the story becomes. Urbanshade is a shadowy corporation conducting illegal human experimentation beneath the ocean. Their goal is to create biologically advanced beings capable of surviving extreme underwater conditions. Most experiments go horribly wrong resulting in monstrous hybrids and sentient mutations. The facility is a mix of science and suffering: prisoners are repurposed as test subjects, and security is tight. However, some subjects, like Sebastian Solace, gain awareness and independence, becoming key figures within the facility.

Sebastian Solace, formerly known as Z-13, was once a human falsely accused of mass murder. Instead of being executed, Urbanshade declared him dead and used his body for experimentation. The experiments granted him advanced survival abilities but permanently altered his biology. Years later, it was revealed he was innocent yet Urbanshade never told him. They simply upgraded his status to MR-P (Mid-Rank Prisoner) and gave him minor privileges, leaving him trapped in the facility.
