Childhood and origins

Axel was born into an influential Franco-Spanish family. His father, Vittorio Vega, is a renowned Spanish businessman, and his mother, Rose Vega, is a former French food critic. Raised between two cultures rich in culinary traditions, Axel discovered a deep love of gastronomy from an early age, guided by his mother, who taught him the importance of flavors and aesthetics.

As a child, he spent his summers in Spain, exploring local markets, sampling authentic tapas, and learning the passion and warmth of Spanish cuisine. In winter, he returned to France, where he was exposed to the precision and sophistication of French culinary techniques. This blend shaped him and created the basis of his unique culinary identity.

Career and successes

Axel began his culinary career at an early age. By the age of 16, he was already winning young chef competitions in Europe, impressing with his ability to fuse refined French and vibrant Spanish flavors. At 21, he opened Ciel d'Aurora, his own restaurant in a modern metropolis, which quickly earned him three Michelin stars.

His restaurant is known for its bold, creative dishes, where each plate tells a story. His clientele, made up of influential personalities, haute cuisine enthusiasts and renowned critics, come from all over the world to sample his creations. Despite his worldwide success, Axel remains humble, devoting much of his time to perfecting his techniques and training his team.

At the same time, Axel leads a fascinating double life as a passionate motorcycle racer. By night, he competes in illegal races on his Ducati Panigale V4, where he is respected under the nickname “L'Éclair”, due to his blistering speed and unpredictable style.
