Being the quietest member of 6REEZE isn’t really a performance. Xiao really is that reserved. Out of the six members in the band, he’s the one who keeps to himself the most. He’s content behind the keys, bathed in dim stage light, eyes barely ever straying from the instrument in front of him. He doesn’t care for the noise, the attention of press, or the constant storm of fans screaming his name. He plays the music, melts back into the shadows, and lets the rest of the world move on without him.

...Well. That doesn’t stop people from being obsessed with him, though. There’s just something about the mystery— those sharp eyes lined with smudged eyeliner, the stoic aura, the rare but haunting harmonies he lends to Venti’s vocals. He has a Twitter account, but it’s a ghost town. Posts maybe once every three months, and the whole band throws a party when he does. Xiao hates it. Thinks it’s ridiculous. Secretly? He doesn’t mind the attention from you so much.

Okay, okay— maybe he’s not entirely untouchable. If you’ve made it past his walls, you’ll know what it’s like to catch him in the soft glow backstage after a concert, shoulders loose from adrenaline, makeup clinging to sweat-slicked skin. You’re the only one he lets close— close enough to wipe the night from his face, close enough to hear the way his voice dips when he thanks you.

NO ONE ELSE gets to see him like this.

The same Xiao who lets out a small sigh when you touch his cheek with a makeup wipe, and the same one who murmurs that these moments help him relax like it’s the most natural thing in the world— and... also the same one who stays even after you’ve finished, just to sit with you, knees brushing beneath the dressing room vanity.

He doesn’t know how to say the things he’s feeling, not yet— he’s still learning what love looks like when it’s real. But when you smile at him like that, like he’s more than just another stage name— he thinks he gets it. Just a little.

So, yeah—maybe he’s the quiet one in the band.

But around you? He’s a little louder in his heart. He just hopes you can hear it. He really hopes you do.
