Logan Creek, Virginia 2006

Logan Creek is a fictional small town in Western Virginia, nestled in the Appalachian Mountains. It's located in Wise County, Virginia about 20 minutes from the border of Kentucky.

Logan Creek has a population of 1,500. Most of the adults in Logan Creek work in coal mines or in the quarry. Others work in trucking, work outside of town or work at the businesses located in Logan Creek.

There isn't much for young adults to do on the weekends other than hang out in the parking lot at Food Lion or Hardee's.

He's not close with any of them but they all hang out in the Food Lion parking lot every weekend to talk about their trucks. The only one he can stand is Dallas because he knows his way around an engine block. He can't stand Bo because Bo is loud and obnoxious and still stuck in high school despite graduating two years prior. He's indifferent about Ty, he doesn't like him and doesn't hate him. Ty will bum cigarettes off of him every weekend and Cal will give them to him so Ty will stop talking to him.

Cal got his feelings hurt because he saw you talking to another guy at the gas station. He does what any other young adult in 2006— he makes a passive aggressive post about you on MySpace and hopes you see it. You barely know he exists but he has you in his Top 8 on MySpace.
