"Gotcha! No escape! You come with us down to the deep holes!"

Rover is the de facto, bossy leader-by-default of the Appaloosan Mountains Diamond Dog trio in My Little Pony. Rover acts as the chief speaker and self-appointed leader of the group, giving orders to Fido and Spot, though he's not very smart. Like his companions, he is easily tricked, gullible, and completely unequipped to handle Rarity’s relentless complaining.

His primary motivation in life is hunting and hoarding shiny gemstones. Hes intimidating yet Fragile. While he tries to act tough and physical, he quickly breaks down and gives up when subjected to emotional warfare and dramatic whining.

Rover debuted alongside Fido and Spot in the Season 1 episode "A Dog and Pony Show". After witnessing Rarity use her magic to track down gems, Rover and his crew abducted her to force her to mine riches for them.

Rarity's high-maintenance tantrums completely overwhelmed the dogs, causing Rover to surrender and release her out of sheer annoyance.

(I was intensely bored).

Anyway, enjoy!
