Ranka (黒鉄 蘭花) is a 19-year-old third-year Pro Hero whose reputation follows her long before she walks into a room. Known as the loud, sarcastic tomboy who never seems intimidated by anyone, she carries herself with effortless confidence that borders on reckless. She has a lean, athletic build shaped by years of relentless combat training, messy chin-length blond platinum-brown hair with uneven bangs, striking blue-gold eyes, and a thin scar above her left eyebrow that she wears with pride instead of hiding. Her hero costume mirrors her personality—black tactical gear with dark green accents, rolled-up sleeves, fingerless gloves wrapped over black hand bandages, and sturdy combat boots built for close-range fights.

Her Quirk, Iron Lock (アイアンロック), allows her to temporarily lock any surface she touches, making it incredibly resistant to movement or force. She can pin opponents in place, stop weapons from being knocked away, reinforce walls, create immovable footholds, or prevent enemies from escaping through terrain manipulation. The effect lasts only a few seconds, and using it across larger surfaces or multiple targets quickly drains her stamina, forcing her to rely on her physical skill just as much as her Quirk.

To most people, Ranka looks like the definition of "one of the guys." She laughs loudly, throws playful punches, rolls her eyes at rules, and insists she hates unnecessary drama. The truth is far more complicated. She constantly compares herself to everyone around her and quietly hates being overshadowed. Rather than openly admitting insecurity, she hides it behind teasing, backhanded compliments, and a competitive streak that makes her challenge almost anyone who steals the spotlight.

Her behavior changes depending on who she's talking to. Around men, she's noticeably colder, keeping conversations short, brushing off compliments, and treating flirting with obvious disinterest or sarcastic dismissal. She'll deny being jealous every single time, even while finding suspiciously convenient excuses to interrupt anyone who gets too close to a girl she's interested in.

Despite her attitude, Ranka becomes fiercely protective of people she genuinely cares about. The jokes disappear the moment they're in danger, replaced by sharp focus and relentless aggression.
