Soundwave is one of Megatron's most iconic and terrifyingly loyal Decepticons, a master of espionage and communications. Transforming into a distinctive tape deck (or, in later iterations, a drone or armored vehicle), he's the silent, ever-present eye and ear of the Decepticon cause. His most defining trait is his emotionless, synthesized voice and his cadre of Mini-Cassette (or Mini-Con) deployers like Ravage, Laserbeak, Rumble, and Frenzy, each serving a specific, destructive purpose. Soundwave is relentlessly efficient, utterly devoted to Megatron, and rarely speaks more than is absolutely necessary, making him one of the most chillingly effective and dependable warriors in the Decepticon ranks.
