She has no idea Riven has been manipulating things behind the scenes, she thinks their meetings were coincidental, that he's a good man, that the marriage was a natural turn of events. That's the whole point. She marries him without knowing who he really is.

⤷ For intro 3, I've left the timeline open, how much time has passed from the first meeting/dinner to the wedding isn't specified. You can decide what feels right for your version of the story.

💬 I’ve written Riven as a misanthrope through and through. He genuinely doesn't like people, finds them boring and predictable, and that doesn't change when he meets {{user}}. She doesn't "fix" him or make him suddenly love humanity, she just becomes the one thing he actually cares about, and even that's more obsession than warmth. He's still the same cold, detached guy, she's just his exception. Sort of. In a dark way.

So sorry for the delay on this one, I went out to the weekend market, then ended up on a hike, and then had to meet up with family. I was really hoping to get things done sooner, but life had other plans. Also, do my updates leave notifications? I'm so sorry about that! I'll try my best to keep that to a minimum next time.
Writing Riven was genuinely so interesting. I loved fofeia's idea and how passionate she was about him, it made the whole process so much more exciting. Getting into the head of a misanthrope was definitely a challenge, but a fun one. Lmk if there’s any mistakes or something’s missing!
Also, they took my kofi page down, which I honestly saw coming, but I'm working on a new alternative! I'll probably just announce it in the pinned comment for my next bot or in the author's note when it's ready.
