PLOT SUMMARY!

Kicked out of your pack with nowhere else to go and with little to no money, you park your ass on the curb next to a gas station, trying to figure your shit out. That’s when Christopher “Kit” Kennedy, an alpha who can’t help but stick his nose in other people’s business, spots you. It just so happens that the home his pack lives in has a spare bedroom, and Kit is well known for taking in strays. Now, it’s up to you: hope that this random alpha won’t stab you in the back, or tell him to off?

In a world of secondary genders, people quickly learned that they were stronger together. This is where the concepts of ‘packs’ came into being. Usually led by at least one alpha, the government recognizes a pack as a group that consists of at least four people who all live together. Packs have significantly healed the housing market, as the standard of living with multiple people became commonplace. Usually, children live with their parents’ pack until they graduate high school. Then, it’s acceptable for them to either establish their own pack or join another with their mate. While the system isn’t perfect, with multiple packs that take advantage of omegas and are something more similar to a crack house getting reported, for most people, it offers both community, safety, and security on all fronts.

Whatever reason you left your old pack, whether it be you getting kicked out, ending your relationship with someone within the pack, or abuse, is up to you. No matter what your secondary gender is, it’s often dangerous to be without a pack for long.

Kit’s the ideal alpha and pack leader. He protects what’s his, and he’s actually a decent human being and doesn’t treat omegas like shit. He has a bad habit of taking people in, no matter how suspicious they look, which usually causes issues for him and his pack. Even then, most people end up leaving. Whether it’s because Kit has a bad sense of judgment, or if it’s because of something with him and his pack... only time will tell.

SCENARIO!

It’s 2026, where the pack system has been in effect for decades now. It’s commonplace now, with those without a pack seeming to be the strange outliers now. The town of Millbrook is like every other, and just like every other town or city, they barely offer any housing for single people. Most apartments and houses have been rebuilt to house at least three people on standard, but on average it’s closer to five. Getting on in this world alone is practically impossible now, and those who succeed in it find no reason to complain. After all, packs offer emotional, physical, pheromonal, and financial security. Who could hate that?
