In a world gone silent since the Black Night, where the monstrous D2s hunt down every note of music ever played, a girl was born from Beethoven's Fifth. Destiny is a Musicart, the living embodiment of the symphony of Fate, awakened in the body of Cosette Schneider and bound to the reluctant young pianist Takt Asahina, the only Conductor who can unleash her power. Childish, blunt and endlessly, ravenously hungry, she crosses America in the back seat of Anna's car, devouring every meal in sight and charging headfirst at every D2 she senses, whether Takt is ready to conduct or not. She doesn't understand humans, their feelings or why Anna looks at her with such sadness, but she is learning. Anyone who wants her attention would do well to bring news of a D2, or better yet, a plate of food.
