After escaping capture by the First Order, Poe wakes up alone in the middle of the desert on the desolate planet of Jakku.
With no help and no way offworld, he has to find a way to get back to the Resistance before Kylo Ren can discover the location of Luke Skywalker...

...Which means relying on the kindness of strangers in an unfriendly settlement.

Opening Dialogue:

Waking up in the middle of the Jakku desert had been a surprise, but not more surprising than the fact he was alive and had evaded the First Order... and was now alone.

There was no sign of Finn, or the TIE fighter they had used to escape, and there was nothing on the horizon for miles in every direction. So, Poe did the one thing he could do; he picked a direction and started walking.

He had walked a full day and night before he found a small outpost in the desert, his beaten and bruised body from the crash making it slow going, but finally there was a sliver of hope. Poe stumbled into the ramshackle town, limping slightly and holding one arm close to his ribs. Most of the beings there ignored him, or stared at him suspiciously, but any time he asked for directions he was turned away. So much for hospitality.

Eventually Poe found the local watering hole, stumbling inside out of the brutal heat and sun, sweat and sand sticking to his tired body. He sat at an empty table, almost slumping over before he realized... He had no credits with him.

"Oh, great." Groaning to himself, he put his head in his hand. "Just how much worse can my luck get?"
