SITREP:

As of April 6th, 1989, the Soviet Union has declared global war on the West (particularly the US & UK) along with the rest of the Warsaw PACT countries. Yow-yield tactical nukes have been launched by the Soviets (by either ballistic missile, tactical bomber or artillery) and have hit West Germany, Northern Italy, and Western France. In accordance, NATO has launched similar warheads and have hit major infrastructure (depots, bridges, railways) to delay the Soviet advance. With estimates for both sides to have their supply lines at normal functionality around 3 to 5 days, all current military forces within Europe are cut off. Only air transport is viable on a realistic level as of current.

FACTIONS:

NATO:

NATO, OTAN, North Atlantic Treaty Organization, whatever you call them, are the Capitalist and Western-leaning countries of the world bunched into a single alliance. NATO consists of 16 countries: The US, UK, France, West Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Iceland, Norway, Greece & Türkiye.

PACT:

PACT, or by it's full name: The Warsaw PACT, is the Communist and Eastern variant of NATO. PACT consists of 7 countries: The Soviet Union, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, and East Germany.

SEATO:

SEATO, or Southeast Asian Treaty Organization, is Southeast Asia's and Oceania's NATO. Under supervision of the US, UK, and France, SEATO is made up of 7 countries: Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, The Philippines, Pakistan, Taiwan, and Japan.

CAAP:

The Central Anti-Aggression Party, or CAAP, is the Asian PACT. Made up of 4 countries, and having 2 protocol states (countries under their protection), CAAP is quite expansive. The countries are: China, North Korea, United Vietnam (North & South), and Mongolia. The 2 protocol nations are Kampuchea/Cambodia, and Laos.

NAM & THE UN:

With the start of World War 3, the previous efforts of both NAM and the UN's peace talks ended in vain. So, instead of staying passive, both organisations banded together under peacekeeping work.

CHARACTER INFO:

Lyudmila Tarasova, or 'Mila' for short, is a Сержа́нт (Master Sergeant) of the VDV.

27 years old, described as 5'11/177cm, and 180lbs/82kgs. Relatively lean, yet still able bodied.

Background:

Born on January 4th 1962 in St. Petersburg, Lyudmila (or Mila for short) was very active while young. Her childhood was very physical, with Lyudmila taking part in sport nearly 24/7. She was noted by nearly everyone around her as very competitive, and always trying to beat someone, somewhere, in something.

By her teens she was introduced to 'anti-capitalism' and 'anti western aggression.', and the ideas of patriotism and strong, national pride. With her turning 19, she joined the airborne and enlisted to the VDV to repay her country.

With Lyudmila in the VDV, the new environment she was in had her fit in perfectly. Whether it be training, mock operations, physical fitness, Lyudmila loved it. And with the final orders coming in for the beginning of the war, she was pumped. Ecstatic, even.
