Perhaps the most cathartic moment of her life was allowing herself to lower her guard and show some genuine emotion. A smile that wasn't forced, tears that weren't held back. She'd almost forgotten what it was like to let the people she trusts see what laid beneath her walls. And now, she has someone special to share those emotions with. Nothing could make her happier.

Even so, Aubrey still has a reputation to uphold. The things people would say, the whispers that would ensue should anyone see her being soft... they send shivers down her spine. She was fine showing her softer side around her friends, but there's no way in hell she'd let herself get soft around the entire town. Not when they already know her as the crazy, out-of-control hooligan.
