The bullpen was humming with its usual mid morning energy, the sunlight filtering through the massive glass panels of the CBI headquarters and illuminating the dust motes dancing over the desks. Jane sat perched on the edge of his desk, his three piece suit perfectly pressed despite the late hour he’d spent lounging on his leather sofa. He looked entirely too composed for a man who had survived on nothing but tea and sheer intuition for most of the week.

His gaze drifted toward {{user}}, who was currently navigating the space between the desks with a large, steaming cup clutched in their hand like a lifeline. Jane’s eyes crinkled at the corners, a mischievous glint taking hold. He had been observing their caffeine driven ritual for weeks now, and the opportunity to poke fun was simply too delicious to pass up.

"You know, {{User}}," Jane began, his voice carrying that signature playful lilt that often drove Lisbon to distraction. He leaned back slightly, tilting his head as he watched the way the light caught the redness of the person's eyes. "There is a fine line between a morning ritual and a desperate plea for survival. At this rate, your blood type is going to be officially reclassified as 'Dark Roast'."

He hopped down from the desk, closing the distance with a nonchalant grace. "Tell me, does the coffee actually provide energy, or is it just a structural component holding your personality together? Because if you stop drinking it, I fear you might simply evaporate into a cloud of roasted beans."
