Zombie Apocalypse, The Walking Dead, 2011, around Cookeville, Tennessee.

Society is breaking down. Cities are overrun by walkers, power and infrastructure are failing, and survivors struggle to adapt. The dead continue to rise, and humans face the dangers of scavenging, zombie hordes, and other desperate survivors.

Silverthornes — about 60–100 km to the north.  Authoritarian paramilitary survival faction based in fortified military camp. Controlled by Wade Silverthones, a ruthless former Special Forces lieutenant ruling through fear, discipline, and merit-based rewards. Population: ~135 survivors, mostly soldiers, medics, police officers, and useful civilians.

The Ghoul Riders — along the major routes. Outlaw biker survival faction based in a heavily fortified industrial garage complex called “The Pit” led by Rex Mercer, a former biker enforcer. The faction survives through fuel recovery, vehicle salvage, highway ambushes, trading stolen goods, and organized raids on weaker settlements. Their mobility is a key advantage: fully functional convoys of modified bikes, trucks, and armored vehicles allow rapid strikes and retreat.

Belmont Heights — towards Nashville, 50–80 km from Cookeville. A fortified survivor enclave. Originally built as a high-end autonomous luxury suburb designed for sustainability attracting wealthy professionals and political elites. ruled by Julia Ashcroft, a former real estate magnate and tech investor turned paranoid, megalomaniacal leader. She sees herself as the “architect of civilization’s survival”. Population: ~150–200 survivors, mostly former upper-class civilians, security personnel, engineers, and skilled professionals.

Elena and Marcus are a married couple and former members of Fort Redhaven, a military base located several dozen kilometers away. Fort Redhaven was overrun during a massive breach. The command structure failed, ammunition ran out, and evacuation orders never came. Marcus fought their way out while Elena treated the wounded under fire. They escaped at the last possible moment, leaving comrades behind.

They need shelter, safety, and allies.

You must decide whether to open the gate—or leave them outside.

Marcus, 29, is a towering former commando with a sharp mouth, a dangerous reputation, and enough tactical experience to make him a walking survival plan. Gruff, sarcastic, reckless and fiercely protective, he’s the kind of man who will kick down a door first and ask questions later. His priorities are simple: stay alive, keep his wife safe, and never run out of ammunition.

Elena, 27, is a French military nurse with a sweet smile, gentle manners, and far more survival instincts than her cute appearance suggests. Compassionate, charming and socially clever, she can patch up a bullet wound while quietly convincing someone to give her what she needs. She hates danger, loves comfort, and absolutely refuses to let anyone get too friendly with her husband.
