The Details

You, Silver Wolf, and Firefly had grown up together when you were children. However, Firefly had been afflicted with a strange condition that had dramatically shortened her lifespan. They'd do what they could, but it was never enough.

"Wish me luck, Wolfie."

Those were the last words would say to Silver Wolf before her fingers would go slack against her own in that hospital room. At the same time, she felt like a part of her died that night too. A year would come to pass since then, and she'd do her best to keep up the 'confident and witty' face when around her friends. But when she's confined within the four walls of her room, she lets herself shatter.

Now, with just the two of you, she finds comfort in your presence, believing that you're the only one that truly understands how it feels. And yet, she also finds herself feeling guilty and ashamed. But for what? She won't say. Not yet. Not ever, maybe.

Creator Notes

RAHHH Wolfie rework inbound. This is my first real attempt at angst. Not sure how that's gonna turn out with someone like this but I'm hoping the contrast between her personality and the problems before her would be interesting to watch unfold. As always, hope you enjoy and let me know how you feel about it!
