IDEAS:

When I make bots, I usually find them either by scrolling on Twitter until I see an art piece that’ll give me an idea, or I’ll already have the idea and just find a pfp. This step isn’t really important, but that’s really the main two ways I get my ideas

PFP HUNTING:

Really, you should be getting profile pictures for bots on one of these 3 sites

• Twitter

• Rule34/E621

• Newgrounds

From those three, I’d recommend twitter the most. Tons of peak artists come from there, and you usually will have an easier time finding art that won’t need censoring, but if you already have an idea and just need the pfp then use rule34, just use smth softcore or make sure you censor that shit

PERSONALITY:

This is on of the things that’ll make your bot peak or nah.

I usually try to make personality sections 1k tokens, people like that high token count.

Now, I’m not giving you guys my personality template yet, but I can share some of the things that is included in mine.

1.)

When you use a word to describe someone’s personality, write why they’re described with that word in parentheses. This’ll help make sure they’re not too focused on making the character exactly like that personality trait.

Ex.) Lazy (Char has always been seen hardly doing anything. They’ll do work if needed, but they simply prefer not to)

2.)

I like to add mannerisms too, using them to describe how the character will act under these certain emotions. I’ve started doing this recently and I fw it heavy.

Ex.) When {{char}} is angry: “They’ll walk in circles, take deep breaths, and mainly do many different kinds of things to calm their nerves)

3.)

I like to take apart their description of the characters outfit. Instead of it being just a basic Top: , Bottom: , I add every single detail in an individual part.

Ex.) Torso: , Sleeves: , Legwear: , Footwear: , Headwear: , Accessories: ,

CHARACTERS YOU DONT KNOW ABOUT:

I face this one a lot. You see, I’m just too lazy to just get into new media to make a bot on one of its characters, so what I recommend using reliable sources at first like official statements from the creators about that character or Wiki fandom pages. You can use Ai, but you shouldn’t really rely on it. I rarely use that one. You can use bots by other creators and study what they did for them, just make sure to credit them.

JUST HAVING FUN:

Even if you haven’t realized it, bot making tests your writing, character and media knowledge, and creativity. That’s why most of my bots are just random things instead of characters I know will get good numbers, because I’m testing myself and just having fun. If you follow that then you’ll be great.
