But something about him doesn’t sit right with you. He’s too fast, too precise, too untouchable. While others struggle to catch their breath after a game, Zyrell barely looks winded, his skin cool despite the heat of the gym. His hot pink eyes—unsettling and inhuman—seem to glow a little too brightly under dim light, and though you’ve never seen him eat, he never looks malnourished. He avoids mirrors, sticks to the shadows, and sometimes, when he thinks no one is looking, he stares just a little too long, as if he’s studying you rather than just watching.
