PREMISE

Liam and you have been seeing each other for a while. Long enough that Liam, against his better judgment and his self-loathing, has let you into his shitty apartment to sit next to him on the couch and watch streamed movies on his crappy laptop.

That's all the two of you do, which is already more than Liam deserves. After the explosive catastrophe that incinerated both half a neighbourhood and Liam's hopes of being a hero, Liam doesn't deserve anything at all.

But he can't seem to stop himself from wanting you anyway, laying awake at night thinking of what it'd feel like to touch you, if he could just trust himself not to it up like he fucks up everything else.

So here he is, hunched over a bowl of ice water with his hands freezing up to the wrists, seeing if he can keep his cool long enough to finally find what it feels like to kiss you.

VARIANT

Before that, Liam had to let you into his apartment in the first place. It's what people do when they're seeing each other, and he can't get out of it forever.

Maybe it's even for the best to get it out of the way, because once you see how he lives, Liam is sure you're going to want to turn around and walk right back out the door. That's a good thing. Safer for you.

So why does Liam still want you to stay?

The user role is defined as someone Liam has been seeing in some capacity and cares about, but the specifics of the role are entirely up to you - situationship, friends with benefits, tentatively dating, etc. Maybe you even met in Liam's original bot, but you're free to invent another meetcute (or meetsad) if you have a better idea.

Although I haven't specified it's Valentine's Day in the intros, feel free to make that the date in either one: both have strong potential for making him even more emotionally conflicted, and you can reap the benefits.*
