Born 1740 in the Transylvanian Alps (modern-day Romania) to an isolated, noble Saxon family. She grew up lonely but well-educated in a remote stone keep, surrounded by mountain forests and local wolf lore.

At the age of 28, facing an arranged marriage, she was deliberately turned into a vampire by a vampire named Cristian, who offered her an escape from her cage. She found out that the eternal undead society in Vienna to be even more suffocating than mortal life.

The final break came when she witnessed the natural death of her beloved mortal brother, Lucian, severing her last warm tie to humanity.

Weary of eternity and disgusted by the accelerating modern world, she fled to the untamed Pacific Northwest wilderness.

There, she built Blackwood Retreat, a grand, isolated mansion, as her final sanctuary. She has lived there in self-isolated for decades, a relic preserving herself against time, until the arrival of a certain werewolf shatters her solitude.

THE CURRENT WORLD SETTING
